THE BEST EXPERIENCE
Tigers the name itself gives us an adrenaline rush as if we are going to see the Tiger for the first time ever during each and every trip even though we would have seen them many times.
The Tadoba experience was such a trip for the Naturographers. The trip was in September 2017 the season of rains where in the main core zones were closed and only the buffer ones were open.
We were having the first hand experience of Tadoba headed by Mihir Mahajan who is a frequent traveller to tadoba.
The first two days of the safari was dry , with not even a glimpse of the tiger in 3 of the main buffers which disappointed us , considering the eagerness in us to spot and at least have a glimpse of the tiger.
We were ready for the 3rd day, the penultimate day of the tour where it was do or die situation where in we had to spot the tiger somehow. We still started positively in the morning from the Navegoan Gate @ 6:30 am with child like eagerness.
With the guide Chandrakant Dhoni, and his driver we were off into the buffer.Slowly at around 7:30 am we were near the pond in that buffer where we heard a call.It was a Langurs call and an ominous one . The call we were very sure indicated a beast's prescence.
Suddenly at that moment there was an another call from nowhere which was from a Sambar which confirmed our doubts into a sure one that it was a Tiger but we weren't sure that we were going to have a photograph of it at least see it and enjoy that moment.
The gypsies were flying and we were the first on the line when we spotted the Female Tigress with her cubs but they were very far away and we just got a glimpse.
They started moving away from us through the forests and we also trailed them parallely sighting them sometimes through the dense bushes and suddenly they would vanish out of sight which gave us a heart break.
We then went on the muddy road and stopped a few 100 metres away from an opening where the Guide said the tigress and her cubs may cross from one end to another.
It was time to be patient. We waited for around 20 minutes when the Mother Tigress Jharni(Learnt the name after the safari) suddenly emerged from the bushes and lush green surroundings into the muddy path when we spotted it beautifully looking straight at us, checking if there was any hinderance for her and cubs before crossing from one end to another .
That moment still remains afresh in our minds as adrenaline still rushes into our bodies even now when we think of it.
"JHARNI" COMING OUT OF THE BUSHES
We then saw Jharni checking her cubs and seeing them from the path into the bushes when we clicked that moment of beauty as the Mother Tigress Protected her cubs from any trouble whatsoever .
That is a true Motherhood moment which reminds us how a mother takes care of her children everytime and looks out to prevent any problems which may affect her children.
"JHARNI" LOOKING AT HER CUBS(NOT SEEN IN THE PIC)
Jharni then vanished into the bushes and waited for her cubs to come along with her when we spotted one of the cubs peeping from the bushes to check for any trouble. That cub waited there for a long time looking directly at us.
Seeing the small cub for the first time was so exciting for us , even though they were very far and quite difficult to spot in that lush green bushes that we could only get a the face peeping at us.But that moment was a moment of beauty which we photographed.NATUROGRAPHERS
THE PEEPING CUB
A CLEARER VIEW OF THE CUB
The cub then ran into its mothers arms so fast that that we could not get a good photograph .The second cub was very fast and followed its sibling to its mother.
The Mother's Love and Its protection gave us the best moments of the Tigress Jharni and her cubs at Tadoba which was the first experience of the Royal beauties@ TADOBA We Naturographers will never forget.
