I traveled with Mr. Subramani to chiplun for photographing the colorful bird called ORIENTAL DWARF KINGFISHER (ODKF). We started our trip from Chennai to Mumbai and traveled by car to Chiplun which took nearly 6 hours ride.
We were accompanied by MUMBAI TRAVELERS for the trip who helped us in booking cars from Mumbai. This was actually a one night trip to chiplun and we were able to enjoy every moment.
Nandu's sanctuary so called is a wonderful place for birders to sighted colorful species. The sanctuary is named after Nandu where his efforts are uncountable for the wildlife. He has many hides for photographing ODKF. Actually he has purchased nearly 35 acres of forest and he intends to get 100 acres for wildlife conservation. The way he has setup the hide, the bird could not recognize.
We were treated with ODKF chick while leaving the place and totally it was an awesome trip together.
